really nice!
LOVE this mic! So small and compact for smaller desk users, really easy to set up, doesn’t feel cheap. The mic quality is pretty good for the price, not completely condensing but still quite nice. Sound quality is lovely and the mute button is handy as well.

Good quality, great software.
This is the cheapest way to get access to the Elgato Wave Link software suite, which is perfect for routing audio around your PC for use in live streaming. The quality is amazing, almost indistinguishable from my more expensive studio grade mic.

Fantastic Sound for the Price, but mute button too sensitive
The media could not be loaded. I bought the Elgato Wave Neo for my home office to use during work-related webinars and webcasts, and I’m really pleased with it. The sound quality is noticeably better than using headphones or my monitor’s built-in mic, so it’s been a worthwhile upgrade. I’d feel confident using it for an amateur podcast - it’s not a professional-grade mic, but for the price, it delivers great quality. One criticism is that the mute button is very sensitive. More than once, I accidentally muted myself just by adjusting the mic, and only realised when someone said, “We can’t hear you anymore.” The mute button is positioned on the top, but because the mic head rotates 360 degrees, I’ve started turning it so the button is on the bottom to avoid accidental touches. The USB cable can get in the way a little depending on your setup, but it connects really well to my MacBook Pro and works straight out of the box. It’s definitely not as convenient as a Bluetooth mic, but for the price, you get excellent wired performance. I’ve also included a short video showing how easily the mic rotates and just how sensitive the mute button is.

Great quality microphone, sleek and neat looking
This is an excellent mid-range microphone for streaming and meetings - my voice sounds better and richer compared with my build-in pc microphone. It feels weighty and substantial and sits neatly on my desk - perfect!

Clear, Minimalist and Simple Mic
I ordered this mic to just use when talking to friends on my Windows PC and it works great. It was very simple to set up, the stand just screws together in 3 pieces and I believe the screw on the mic is standard so you can use your own mount. The stand is very nice, it is quite small so doesn't take up much space with a weighted bottom which allows the mic to sturdily sit on your desk at about the right height to speak into. You then connect it to your PC with the included USB cable. The port on the ic is USB-C so you could use your own cable if you want more reach but this cable is a nice, white braided cable which matches the mic and has a nice rubber piece that slots into the port on the mic giving a clean finish. The stand then has a little rubber piece with 2 grooves allowing you to attach the wire to it making cable management much easier. The reason it has 2 grooves is that the mic also has an AUX out port for connecting headphones. This is nice as it means you have more reach with your headphones over plugging them into your PC. Once you have everything set up, the mic works great. It was found as a sound input by windows right away and you don't need any drivers or anything. The sound quality of the mic is great. You sound clear and very easy to hear. Even with the mic further away on my desk, it was still easy to hear what I was saying nice and clearly. There is even a nice big led mute button, you tap it to mute or unmute and it changes to red when muted or white when unmuted which means no more awkward moments forgetting to mute your mic as it is very clear to see.Overall, this mic is great and the design makes it great for streaming, gaming or even use in professional work for conference calls etc. I would highly recommend it.

Great all in one microphone
I have previously used the Elgato Wave:3 and the Wave DX. The Wave DX required you to have an XLR interface to use, while the Wave:3 was a plug and play USB device, like the Neo. The problem I had with the Wave:3 is that it was rather large and required a separate pop filter. This is a problem the Neo solves for me - the pop filter is included and the device is much smaller in size. While the Neo comes with a base, you could instead use a Boom arm if you preferred. With the Wave DX, you could you any audio capture software, but with the Wave:3 and Neo you probably should install the free Wave Link software in order to get the most out of these devices. As I use both Windows and OSX, it is handy that this software works on both platforms. Upon installation, you should visit the Elgato marketplace in order to download some free plugins, these are Noise Removal and Compressor. These are available across both Windows and OSX, so you can keep the device configured the same across both platforms. With Windows however, if you have an Nvidia card you could instead use the Elgato Nvidia plugin which uses your GPU for the noise reduction. You could optionally download the Equaliser plugin for even more control of your sound. The Neo device itself comes in a small cardboard package. The base of the microphone has a good weight to it, and it won’t easily move once placed on your desk. It has a rubber piece on the back that allows you to tuck the USB cable into it (along with headphones if you want to use those). The mute button is touch sensitive, so it is easy to mute without making a loud noise. Audio quality is great, it is a step up from boom microphones if you have previously been using those. While you get far more control with an XLR microphone, using one of those has a more involved setup process. For my use case, USB microphones are simpler to setup and get me most of the performance that I need.I think this is a great device for the price, it is plug and play, but with the option to install the Wave Link software to give you even more control should you need it. You can also configure the volume in Wave Link so that you can hear yourself through your headphones, but as I use open back headphones, this feature is not as important to me. I prefer the smaller size of this device to the Wave:3.
